Diamond Star offers a music soundtrack to the book, also titled Diamond Star, written by Catherine Asaro. The songs on the CD are performed by Point Valid, a vibrant young rock band from Baltimore, with Catherine as guest artist. The lyrics for the songs and their interpretation are all taken from the book.

Point Valid is an alternative band featuring Hayim Ani on vocals and guitar, Adam Leve on drums and Max Vidaver on guitar. Hayim and the band wrote most of the music for the CD, and Catherine wrote most of the lyrics, as well as music for three songs. Hayim also contributed three of his compositions, both music and lyrics. This collaboration is Point Valid’s second full-length CD. Their first, Of Dreams and Memory, is also available through Starflight Music.

Starflight’s next release will feature a collection of songs performed by Catherine Asaro and jazz pianist Donald Wolcott.
