Catherine's novella "The Spacetime Pool," is available in the March issue of Analog Science Fiction and Fact magazine. The editor describes it as a "unique blend of colorful setting, engaging and memorable characters, mathematics, romance, and science fiction." While it is an adventure tale, the math underlying the story is quite reaI.

Analog

"Catherine Asaro does a bang-up job.
The story entertains, surprises, and moves at a good pace...I suspect you'll get a kick out of this one."

Catherine in Extropia

Second Life Avatar

Recently, Catherine was the guest on Sophrosyne’s Saturday Salon in Extropia, but this was one appearance that didn't take much travel time. That's because Extropia is an online community in the world of Second Life, built around a positive, near-future science fiction theme. Members of this virtual-worlds community share a common desire to build a positive, beautiful, empowering future for all.

Members of the second life community created an Avatar for Catherine so she was able to animate herself through her salon appearance. To read the transcript of the visit, click here.

This is the story of rival emperors -- related by blood, love, and an intrigue as deep as the space between stars – who take a desperate gamble to find a way through the carnage of war to a new understanding.  But first they'll have to keep their own heads off the chopping blocks of the enemy within.
